Summary
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is responsible for overall monitoring, evaluation and reporting of programme activities.
Job Description
Develop the overall framework for project M E and relevant target indicators and means of verification for specific outputs and activities undertaken under the project Prepare monitoring work plans that account for related activities undertaken by project partners and identify evaluation methodologies etc Support project staff in putting into practice of Monitoring and Evaluation ME methods data collection procedures to effectively monitor project performance and evaluate outcomes Establish data gathering mechanisms consolidating data against the program goals and ensure timely and comprehensive flow of ME information to relevant stakeholders Actively participate in the design and implementation of assessments surveys and evaluations Conduct periodic monitoring trips to the project sites including random monitoring check using standard monitoring tools Fully document and disseminate results of project activities accomplishments and innovations in the form of reports and presentations Recommend any possible changes based on the lessons learned and suggest measures to improve the monitoring system Carry out field visits to assess project performance in line with budgets work plans and facilitate in order to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency in project implementation
Abilities and Skills
Good understanding and experience with Monitoring and Evaluation of development programmes and projects Knowledge and expertise regarding educational assessment educational policies of Govt will be preferred Demonstrates a proven capacity for planning and organizing work under time-pressure A high standard of written English is mandatory for this position Capacity to establish and maintain good working relations with government counterparts Strives to keep job knowledge up-to-date through self-directed study and other means of learning
